More importantly, this is another race event recently affecting our country. And now, it’s also been brought into the church. Thankfully, the day after the tragedy both black and white church goers showed up at the church to support mourners. Since I live in the Pacific Northwest, I couldn’t attend but my thoughts and prayers are with them.
God loves everyone, every one, not just the one who prays to him everyday, not just the one who shows up at church when they can or just when they are not working. He loves the homeless and the rich even though they may not give Him the time of day. He loves the couch potatoes and the type As. He loves the black and white and the yellow. He even loves the ones who have never heard His name or what He has done. And He has given us the call to love others as He loves us. So please help me fellow christians to love others as Christ loves us.
Maybe one day this shooter will understand the love of God because clearly he didn’t hear it that day when he sat and listened before he shot those people in the church. God is love and love does not shoot and kill people. But love does forgive despite pain and tragedy.
