I have Sarah Young's devotional "Jesus Today: Experience Hope Through His Presence " and today's reading was about keeping your eyes on Him. Sarah has such beautiful way of reaching people using 'Jesus's' voice . When I hear Him telling me, "Trust that I know what I'm doing-that I can bring good out of everything you endure." WOW! The next line says, "Don't let your past or present suffering contaminate your view of the future..." I don't know about you but that's an inspiring statement to someone who grew up in dysfunction. And it ends with one of the best scriptures of hope, "to give you a future and a hope." There are still days when I feel depressed and discouraged but they are fewer lately, especially when I pick up my Bible or a devotional and remind myself Who my focus should be on.
