One friend told me that her worldly friends were taunting her with words like ‘being tolerant’ because that’s what they expected of ‘good christians.’ But she was quietly tolerating them insulting and ridiculing her and her religion. Although I don’t think that’s what God wants us to do. God wants us to love one another (them) and He also wants us to promote others loving each other (them loving each other and loving and being kind to her). I think God would not want her to let them taunt and insult her. There is a way to subtly urge them to change their words or stop them from what they are doing. But isn’t it always the case that we think of what to say after the situation has happened. I’m not always good with what to say when these things happen to me either. And I will continue to pray for her, that she will know what to say at the right time.
By the way, for those of you who want an update, my husband has found a part time job at Home Depot, which is great since is very handy with repairs around the house. It’s part time for now but there is potential for more in the future. God bless everyone.
